Jh Villars Dubreuil, a land or plantion called La Brasserie, situated near this city of New Orleans, having 6 1/2 arpents of front by 40 of depth, adjoining on one side to the Sieur Darby and on the other to the purchaser having a frontage and running along the Mississippi River, having been measured formerly by Lassus, surveyor, as well as by Broutin, coming from the succession of the deceased Pierre Dreux, first husband of the said Dame Voisin. "In Jeanne's will, dated November 12, 1787, before Fernando Rodrigues, she declared 'that she was pregnant and recognized for her sole and only heir the child that she was carrying, and in the case that it did not come into the world, her husband, the said Sieur Charles Griffon.' Jeanne died without children that same year. Her husband, Griffon, retained this small habitation, living there with his second wife, Suzanna Peyroux, daughter of Gabriel Peyroux and Suzanna Caüe."
