Richard Borden baptized Feb. 22, 1595-6, married Sept. 28, 1625, Jane Fowle, born Feb. 15, 1604. He was admitted an inhabitant of Aquidneck, R. I., in 1638, and on May 20 was allotted five acres. On March 16, 1641, he became a freeman. In 1665 he and Benjamin Borden (his son, then a minor), James Grover and others, all of Gravesend, L. I., bought considerable tracts of land at Neversink, Narumson and Portupick.
