  • Notes
    • His wife was Felicie de St. Maxent, a daughter of Antoine de St Maxent who was appointed co-agent with La Clede to settle the northern territory of Louisiana and was responsible for many settlements up the Mississippi River, St Louis being one of them. After her husband's death she married Bernard de Galvez, Governor of Louisiana and Viceroy of Mexico and New Spain. She became the Countess de Galvez and went with him to Mexico taking the Destrehan daughter. Her husband, de Galves died soon afterwards in the yellow fever epidemic of 1786 in Tacubaya, Mexico. She and the girl and a posthumously born son were named in de Galvez's will. That is the last I know about the missing little Destrehan girl, Marie Elizabeth Faustina Adelaide Destrehan. [3]
